Effect of Ultraviolet Light ITradiation Artificial Teeth on Bonding ofExperimental Composite Resin

چکیده
The purpose of the present study was to evaluate how ultraviolet light <UV) irradiation using an ordinary UV sterilizer would affect the bonding of experimental composite resins to an autopolymerizing acrylic resin. To this end, three composite resins and one unfi11ed resin-of which the compositions were similar to commercial composite resin artifieial teeth were prepared as repair composites. Their shear bond strengths after UV irradiation for one to 60 minutes were signifieantly greater than those before UV imadiation regardless of eornpesite resin type. Failure mode after UV irradiation for ene to 60 minutes was mainly cohesive failure of the composite resins, but that before UV irradiation and after 24 hours' irradiation was mainly adhesive failure. These results thus suggested that a short period of UV irradiation on

متن کاملBond Strength of Repaired Acrylic Denture Teeth Using Visible Light Cure Composite Resin
BACKGROUND Although bonding to denture teeth after surface treatment with chemical agents is desirable, there is little information on the use of Visible Light Cure composite resin (VLC) as bonding denture materials. OBJECTIVES To determine the effect of various surface treatments on shear bond strength between Visible Light Cure composite resin and the acrylic denture teeth interface. METH...

Background and Aims: Failure of bonding between artificial teeth and denture base material is a considerable problem for patients who wear dentures. Because of the cost of denture repair and the expensive price of foreign artificial teeth, this study was designed to compare the bond strength of composite and acrylic artificial teeth with heat-cured and auto-polymerized denture base resins.Mater...

Background and Aims: Wear resistance of artificial teeth has an important role in denture longevity. The purpose of this in vitro study was to evaluate the wear resistance of three types of composite resin denture teeth with that of acrylic resin. Materials and Methods: In this study, four types of artificial teeth, including 3 types of composite artificial teeth (Ivoclar, Apple and Yamahachit...
